(firmenpresse) - Some of the most important things that after you accept Jesus as your Savior you have to do will be to locate a great church. What is known as an excellent church? !
If it isn't...keep looking. Today with the churches maintaining Web pages, you can also have a look at a church online and see the things that they believe; the schedule of meeting times, and what ministries are available. There is nothing wrong with needing to be sure about whether the church is best for you personally and is going to be a "great fit." And, naturally, pray about it. God can help you.
We spend plenty of time making choices about things which might be of much less significance, but occasionally will dash into this decision depending on convenience or things like this:
Which church is the closest?
Do I like smaller groups or large churches?
Will I have to get dressed up to attend this kind of church?
Will there be plenty of men and women from my age group there?
Will the service program fit my program?
What Bible translation does the Pastor use?
Not everyone will confess to these things being a consideration in their decision making, but you understand it generally is part of it. And it's okay to take these things under consideration, provided that they are not your main priority.
Your priorities have to be on the issues that are important. Is this a location at which you could adopt authentic fellowship with other like-minded believers? Is this an environment at which you will end up prepared and equipped to do the job of the ministry? These really are the real issues you have to check into.
We want the support of the church if we are to grow in the wisdom of the Word, and do the will of God in our own lives. And, of course, we must be ready to do the same . This is exactly what church is designed to be about. Learning; loving one another and God, and living out what we learn, with the assistance and support of others.
