Christian Church: How It Has Transformed and Grown

(firmenpresse) - Is there actually one Christian church? This is very false anymore. There are over 1,500 acknowledged Christian denominations. Whether you are a part of a Christian church or not, you might be curious as to how precisely the only church that Jesus Christ arranged when he was around the earth has gotten so many different faiths with so many different doctrines and theologies. Why has the Christian church transformed over time?
Jesus Christ set up the Christian church when he was around the planet earth. He called apostles and gave instructions to them about the way that it was designed to be run. He gave Simon Peter, one man, the ability to lead the church. They taught the Jewish people because that's where they resided and largely preached to. They were Jewish. They crucified him. After he was crucified the apostles of the Christian church continued to educate the gospel to the Jews. Subsequently, a man named Saul (later changed to Paul) was converted to the Christian church and started to teach the gospel to the Gentiles (those who weren't of the Jewish religion.) This was basically the primary division that happened in the Christian church because although it was what Christ instructed, it absolutely was not what many of the early Christians wanted.
The Gnostics and the Catholics continued to disagree as well as the rift became broader until they fully split just after 1000 A.D.
Then in the early 1500's folks started to challenge practices and the doctrines of the Catholic Church-specifically that church members couldn't read or interpret the scriptures by themselves. The priests were the sole ones permitted to do this. Some also challenged the approach to baptism, which was scattering of infants. They felt that it needs to be baptism by immersion of adults like Jesus Christ. This led to the religious reformation as well as the exodus of many to find religious liberty.
An Awakening happened. People started to look for truths by themselves, rather than simply staying with their religion of birth. When they did not locate what they were searching for, some started their particular churches. It continues to this very day. Individuals continue to look for a Christianity that fits their lifestyle and their belief system.
