Celestial Green Ventures Plc: IndustryRE purchases the first REDD Carbon
Credits from Celestial Green Ventures Plc
Celestial Green Ventures Plc ('9CG'), a German listed producer of Carbon
Credits, has concluded the forward sale of REDD Carbon Credits to
IndustryRE, a UK based independent investment firm specialising in the
reduction of carbon emissions.
IndustryRE have forward purchased one million REDD carbon credits from
Celestial Green. These REDD carbon credits will be developed from Celestial
Green's Borba project; a joint-venture project carried out by Celestial
Green and the Municipality of Borba, in the State of Amazonia covering an
area of 1.3 million hectares.
The credits sold from the Celestial Green Borba project will meet the
highest standards and include conservation, biodiversity and socio-economic
benefits, thus ensuring that IndustryRE provides high quality, transparent
and ethically acceptable offsets to its clients.
IndustryRE are a sustainability management consultancy and operate through
creating profitable sustainability businesses. They bring together a
network of world-class expertise across all sustainability disciplines,
including carbon management, energy efficiency, supply chain management,
adaptation, change management, social engagement and investment and funding
strategies.
Industry RE are suppliers to Guardian Sustainable Business, part of the
Guardian Media Group, through the content for the energy efficiency hub.
Industry RE are members of the Carbon Market and Investors Association and
are advocates for a stronger policy on REDD globally.
Celestial Green Ventures controls the rights to produce carbon credits on
close to 20 million hectares of Amazonian rainforest, and currently has
close to 4 million hectares in the pre-validation process.
