New at the ispo:Prevention@Home - Ergometer with Online Coach and Health Record

(firmenpresse) - Munich, January 23, 2006 - Now patients can benefit from something that was so far only contained in expensive cardiovascular devices in the professional fitness sector: the professional and web-based analysis of their cardiovascular training data at home. At the ispo winter 2006 trade show, the e-health company InterComponentWare (ICW), the innovation company Dealok as well as the solution provider for remote medicine platforms Actimon GmbH & Co. KG introduce the myVITness system - the first web-based system that also complies with data protection regulations in the sports sector.

The myVITness system automatically transmits training data like duration, speed, pulse frequency and calorie consumption directly via Actimon bluetooth - online, encrypted and secure - from the connected Dealok cardio device to the web-based LifeSensor Fitness Assistant. This is where the information is processed and graphically displayed at a mouse click. This keeps the individuals performing the training up to date about their training progress at all times. At wish, they can authorize their personal trainer or health expert to access training data online and define individual fitness programs for the long-term prevention of cardiovascular diseases. Communication takes place online for the first time, which makes the system independent of time and location.

In addition, MyVITness offers individuals the chance to be included in the bonus systems of the statutory health insurance companies, because they can verify their training at home. MyVITness is especially convincing due to its multi-applicability. It supports both individuals who want to train at home alone and pursue defined goals as well as those desiring efficient and comprehensive remote supervision by a personal trainer. Individuals can benefit from assistance by competent fitness center personnel as well as the staff in wellness hotels. Some modern wellness hotel chains already offer such individual home assistance as part of their service range.

The LifeSensor Fitness Assistant is part of the LifeSensor personal health record and expands home training by a medical aspect with the secure Actimon remote medicine platform. The results of physical examinations and treatments can be copied to the health record, which makes them available to all authorized physicians and fitness experts for optimum care, prevention or rehabilitation. The home training is directly embedded in the new health care infrastructure because the health record is compatible with the future electronic health card.

Dealok, Actimon and ICW demonstrate the new myVITness system at the ispo in hall C1 at stand 310 with an ergometer.
